Getting Here
📍
Location
Pigeon Forge, TN
Your unique door code comes through Happy Guest once you've wrapped up the rental agreement, ID check, and security hold. It goes live at 4 PM on check-in day. Walk right in.
Gated community: Alpine Mountain Village has a gate. You'll get the gate code with your check-in details. The cabin is about 5 minutes from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge.
Park 3-4 vehicles in the driveway. Overflow parking is at the resort pool lot (turn left out of your parking area, drive to the end of the road, pool parking is on the left). Easy ramp access into the home.
McGhee Tyson Airport (Knoxville): ~1 hr | Asheville Regional: ~2 hrs
Roads can be steep in winter. 4WD/AWD recommended during icy conditions.
Security cameras: Exterior cameras are installed at the front and back doors. Entry/exit points only. No interior cameras. Used for safety and to verify check-in and checkout times.
The Ground Rules
Nothing crazy. Just a few things that keep the cabin in great shape for you and everyone after you.
👥Max 24 guests. All overnight guests need to be registered. Day visitors? Totally fine with a heads-up first, but total guests on property can't exceed 24.
🎉No parties or excessive noise. Family gatherings? Absolutely. That's what this place is for. But it's a quiet, respectful neighborhood, so keep it chill.
🚫No smoking indoors. Tampering with smoke detectors is a $1,000 fine. Don't be that person.
🐺Bears are real up here. All trash goes in the bear-proof bins (code: 2020), bagged and sealed. Never leave food or trash outside. Lock car doors and remove anything scented from your vehicle.
🗑Trash note: Everything that fits in the bear-proof bins is included with your stay. Due to new local regulations on dumpster fees, any excess trash requiring additional pickup is a $50 fee (goes directly to our cleaners). If the bins are full, leave bagged trash in the kitchen.
🕪Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM. Sound carries in the mountains. Keep music and voices low, and move things inside after 10.
💺Treat it like your own. Accidents happen. Just let us know. You're responsible for anything beyond normal wear and tear.
🚫No illegal substances. Keep it clean, keep it legal.
🐶 Pet Policy
Dogs are welcome, but prior approval is required. Please message us before booking to confirm your pet. $200/stay for one pet. Two pets may be approved for the same fee if at least one is hypoallergenic. Keep pets supervised, clean up after them.
How Everything Works
♨️ Hot Tub
On the basement-level deck, drained, cleaned, and refilled before every stay. Uses bromine (gentler on skin, no chlorine smell). A few things to keep it that way:
🥃No glass anywhere near the hot tub. Plastic cups are your friend.
👶Under 12? Skip it. Under 16? An adult needs to be right there.
🧴Quick rinse off before hopping in. Keeps the water clean for everyone.
⚠️Hours are 8 AM to 10 PM. Cover goes back on when you're done. In winter, this is critical to prevent damage to the hot tub.
🏊 Heated Pool
Heated indoor pool on the lower level, 5 feet deep, with a double latch safety lock system and smart pool alarm for added safety. No lifeguard, so swim at your own pace (and risk).
🚫No glass, no diving, no running. Kids under 14 need an adult present. Toddlers wear swim diapers.
🐾No pets on the pool deck. Shower before jumping in.
Important: The hose behind the cabin must stay ON at all times to maintain pool water levels. Low water damages the pool heater ($1,000 fine).
Pool splash alarm: set to SWIM mode when swimming, SURVEIL mode when done. The alarm is loud (90+ dB) when triggered in surveillance mode. The double latch safety lock system prevents unauthorized access.
🏭 Bedrooms & Sleeping
Five bedrooms across three levels. Main floor: Bedroom 1 (King + futon, ensuite walk-in shower) and Bedroom 2 (King, ensuite tub/shower combo). Also two king pull-out sofa beds on the main floor. Upstairs: Bedroom 3 (King + daybed + pull-out trundle, shared bath) and Bedroom 4 (bunk room, shared bath), plus a king pull-out sofa bed and queen air mattress. Downstairs: Bedroom 5 (bunk room, sleeps 4, near half bath). Pack 'n Play in the King bedroom closet. Extra linens stored in bedroom closets and the laundry room cabinet.
🛀 Jacuzzi Tubs
Select bathrooms have Jacuzzi tubs. No bath salts, bath bombs, or oils. They damage the jets and make cleaning a nightmare for our crew.
🏊 Community Pool
Seasonal outdoor community pool available to all guests. Open late May through early September, 10 AM to 8 PM daily. Turn left out of the driveway, drive to the end of the road. Pool parking is on the left.
🎵 Game Room & Theater
Upper level game loft with foosball, pool table, ping-pong, and arcade classics. Lower level theater room seats 8. Board games and books are stashed in the living room cabinet and game room shelves.
📺 TV & Streaming
Smart TVs in the living area, game room, and theater room running all major streaming apps. Log in with your own accounts and log out before you leave. The free Roku app on your phone works as a backup remote for any TV.
🌱 Grill
Propane BBQ grill on the deck. Starter propane is provided along with a cleaning brush. Open the lid before lighting, give it a good preheat, and shut off the gas valve at the tank when you're done.
🌡️ Heating & AC
Central heat and AC throughout. Digital thermostats on the main and upper floors. Sweet spot: 68-72°F for comfort. When heading out for the day in summer, set to 75°F to keep the cabin cool without overworking the system. In winter, 65°F when not in use. Large open spaces take a bit longer to cool in summer. In freezing weather, leave a faucet dripping slightly to prevent pipe bursts.
🧺 Laundry
Full washer and dryer on the lower level with a starter stash of detergent pods. Iron and ironing board are in the laundry area.
🍳 Kitchen
Fully loaded for big group cooking: full-size fridge, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, Instant Pot, toaster, blender. Dinnerware for 20. We leave starter K-Cups, but heads up: creamer and sugar aren't always stocked, so bring your own to be safe. Rinse your dishes before loading the dishwasher. It works way better that way.
🐛 Ladybugs
They show up seasonally and they're harmless. Keep windows closed and they'll mostly stay outside. It's a mountain thing.
