What do I need to do before check in at Brooklyn Bliss?
Before check in at Brooklyn Bliss every guest completes 3 steps on their phone through Happy Guest: the rental agreement, ID verification with a government issued photo ID, and a refundable $500 security hold, and the door code is sent once they are done.
Happy Guest is a secure website, not an app, and no account is needed. It also gives you a guest portal with information about the apartment and local favorites. The steps are quick, like a hotel check in.
The minimum age to book is 25, and the rental agreement asks the booking guest to confirm it, which is verified with the ID. Any misrepresentation of age can mean cancellation without refund, so book under the name of the adult who will be there.
The ID must be a clear, legible government issued photo ID such as a driver's license, passport, or state ID, and the name must match the reservation billing information.
The security hold is placed on your card through Happy Guest before arrival and released after checkout. New York City requires a signed agreement and an ID check for this registered apartment (permit OSE-STRREG-0000222), and the hold is part of the same process.
Once all 3 steps are done, your personal door code arrives. It goes live at 4:00 PM on check in day and will not work before then. The front door has a keyless touchscreen lock, so there is no key to pick up.
All overnight guests, including children age 1 and older, must be on the reservation. Day visitors are fine in moderation, and no large gatherings without approval.
