When is the best time to visit Pigeon Forge with a large group?
The busiest months in Pigeon Forge are June and July, the quietest months are January and February, and Alpine Sky Cabin is open all year with a private indoor pool heated before every check in.
Summer is the easy answer for a big group with kids. The community outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, and Dollywood is 5 miles away. Summer stays and weekends have a 3 night minimum.
October brings fall color and strong demand in the Smokies, so large groups should book early. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and July 4th have a 4 night minimum.
Winter is quieter and the cabin is built for it. The private indoor pool is heated before every check in and open all year, the theater room seats 8, and the covered hot tub is open all year. The mountain roads can be steep, so a 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended in the winter months.
