When is the best time to visit Pigeon Forge with a big group?
The busiest months in Pigeon Forge are June and July, November follows with Thanksgiving reunions, the quietest months are January and February, and Sweet Escape Cabin is open all year.
Summer is the easy answer for a big group with kids. The community resort pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, Splash Country sits next to Dollywood, and both parks are 5 miles from the cabin. July is the peak family month, and summer stays and weekends have a 3 night minimum.
Fall color starts on the peaks in October and works its way down to the valleys into early November, so groups that want it should book early. Thanksgiving is reunion season, and November is the second busiest month. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and July 4th have a 4 night minimum.
Winter is quieter and the cabin is built for it. The covered deck hot tub is open all year, 5 king suites have a fireplace, 6 bedrooms have a jacuzzi tub, there is a private sauna, and holiday decorations are provided for the season. The roads can be snowy or icy, so a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended.
January and February are the quietest months in the Pigeon Forge market with the lowest rates, which usually means easier availability for a group that needs the whole cabin. Dollywood opens for the season in mid March.
Whatever the month, rain does not cancel the trip. The 2 game zones and the 75 inch smart TVs are inside, and Pigeon Forge Snow is an indoor tubing park open all year.
